Trestone was established in April, 2003 as a referral centre for orthodontics and minor oral surgery on the north Cornwall/ Devon border. We are not a general dental practice but treat NHS and private patients referred to us for specialist treatment.
If you do not have your own dentist or are a visitor and need an emergency extraction, or suffer from facial swelling or an abscess, a broken orthodontic brace, you can contact us for advice, as we may be able to help you. However we have no facilities for filling or repairing broken teeth, or dentures. In many cases the type of treatment we offer is only available in a specialist practice, hospital or dental school. As a rule we do not have the long waiting lists that hospitals have and can be more flexible with appointments.
Generally you will be referred to Trestone by your own dentist, either on the NHS or privately. Once we receive the referral letter we will contact you, explain the treatment requested by your dentist, the costs, if any, answer any questions and arrange an appointment. Please remember that we are not a general dental practice and we will only do the treatment your dentist has requested.
